“Bonsai Barber: A little Off the Top” was a commissioned piece completed in the March of 2021. The only parameters were the piece needed to include the number “212” and the color “green”.

Below are some process / progress shots beginning with ideation through rough sketches on newsprint.
   
Next, refined drawings on tracing paper, that is then transferred on the various papers I cut up to form the characters. Last comes the background and finishing details.
